Yeah technically he isnt great, thats easily his weak point. But him and Moyes have clearly worked hard to turn him into a lethal out and out striker and its paying off.
Usually you get a battering ram type forward, good in the air and powerful but no pace. Or you get the slender whippets but not much strength and power. Antonio has it all
I genuinely cant think of many strikers around at the moment that get close to his pace and power. He is near enough irreplaceable

Antonio is the best worst player in the league.
The goal he scored was fucking brilliant technique, then he has a shot which goes out for a throw.
This sums him up perfectly, for me.

FCJ - I totally disagree that his finishing is his weakness. It's one of his biggest strengths. He has produced some outstandingly clever finishes, particularly the one last night and the one against City. However, his shooting from distance is poor.
For me his biggest weakness is his passing, particularly at close quarters - our moves often break down due to a sloppy attempted pass from Antonio. But his strength on the ball is quite simply second to none.

I'm not saying he's as good as them, but antonio shares the same enjoyment of playing that I see in steptoe vardy & I used to see in ian wright. it's something someone like haller will never get, no matter how many bodies you put round him

Has it all really. What impresses me bar being the obvious battering ram that he is, is his instinct to take up positions in the six yard box where strikers get their goals. Haller constantly pulled back to the penalty spot and never seemed to gamble but Antonio's last two have been typical poachers efforts. Think they said last night that all his goals have been inside the area?

Let's not forget that Antonio started life at WH as a winger and Bilic kept trying to turn him into a RB. His scoring record of late suggests he could total 50 this season...

Antonio definitely deserves an England call up.
His goal yesterday put him third on the list of West Ham's top Premier League goal scorers. Interesting to compare his goal ratio to the other strikers up there (Noble has 46 goals but I've left him out of the comparison):
Paolo Di Canio 47 goals in 118 games (0.4 goals per game)
Michail Antonio 41 goals in 144 games (0.3 goals per game)
Carlton Cole 41 goals in 216 games (0.2 goals per game)

I love his enthusiasm
Players like him & Vardy obviously appreciate being where they are after working their way up.
He is such a hard player for opponents to defend.
Too much pace and energy for lumpy centre halves and when matched with a smaller full back he is likely to RAG DOLL them.
Or kill them
If England wanted a genuine different option when Kane chokes again in the Euro's he would give that.
No chance with Gareth Dullard in the managers seat though

His journey would not quite be up there with Vardys but it is close.

He is superb, the improvement in his game and most importantly the goals he is getting last 2 seasons has been remarkable.
He deserves a England call up, Cant think of anyone better to come on to either be a outlet up front or to give defenders another issue with 20 mins to go. No one will start over Kane so stick him in to be a massive impact in games in the 2nd half

Not a classic footballer by any means.
Hes very instinctive..
strength.. Powerful.
Apart from the top draw CBs around, he is more than a match for the rest when he's 100% on it.
To think.. Bilic wanted him at full back/wing back.

He isn't afraid to chase balls into the channels as he is used to playing there out wide as a winger and it's natural. His dribbling is also unorthodox but effective at buying space or inducing a foul. Doesn't mind crossing and using both feet. He has clearly been working on his positioning in the box and finishing however I still think finishing is the weakest part of his game.
Hope he can keep up the fitness and scoring run.

very underrated due to not being a striker in the past. The twist he did tonight with his back to goal was almost impossible yet he scored. Brilliant piece of skill. Surely he must be on Gareth Southgate's radar for next summer.
